The highly anticipated new supercar, the Toyota GR GT, has been a topic of discussion for a long time. The company is challenging rivals like the Mercedes-AMG GT and Aston Martin Vantage with this impressive model. Toyota announced that the car will go on sale by the end of 2027 with a price tag of approximately $500,000.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the GR GT produces over 640 horsepower. The engine is mated to a newly developed eight-speed automatic transmission. Toyota has also positioned an electric motor directly in front of the gearbox, filling the gap between gear changes to prevent torque loss; details of this electric motor have not yet been released.
Considering its structural features, the GR GT, with its largely aluminum body, is reported to weigh less than 1,750 kg. The car features high-performance Brembo carbon ceramic brakes. The quad exhaust system has reportedly been specially designed to produce an impressive sound.
The console of this two-seater supercar is designed along traditional lines. The dual-screen console also features physical buttons for driver convenience. Currently equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, the model is being promoted as a road-ready race car.
As part of this launch, the “GR GT3,” a true race car designed for track competition, was also unveiled. The GR GT, which was introduced quite early, is expected to be in high demand once it goes on sale. Official performance figures for the car will reportedly be released later.
